100% of the concentrate is produced in Patricia de Nicolaï’s Parisian laboratory

The story of our perfumes begins in Paris at the heart of the creative laboratory of our perfumer, Patricia de Nicolaï.

The laboratory team makes the pure fragrance oils, the formulas of which Patricia de Nicolaï created with the help of her palette of raw materials.

Once the concentrates arrive at our factory in the Loire Valley, they are completed and must go through several stages.
Firstly, the maceration in cold rooms for two weeks, then undergoing infusion with alcohol by our laboratory technician.

This alcohol is 99.9% natural and comes from beetroot grown in France in the middle of the region of Beauce, not far from our factory.

Then the mixture remains one to four weeks for a second maceration.

Next come the stages of icing and filtration to discard impurities.

50% recycled glass

The perfume is then bottled.

Glassware is an important choice in the development of perfume.

Our French glassmaker recycles about 38% of his own already produced glass and adds 11.6% recycled glass to make our 100ml bottles.

He is affiliated with EcoVadis and received a Gold Medal in 2020 for his CSR policy.

For our 30 ml bottles, our Spanish glassmaker recycles about 30% of his already produced glass for manufacturing.
Since the end of 2021 our 30ml bottles will contain 20% recycled glass on top of the 30% already recycled by our glassmaker.

He too is affiliated with EcoVadis and received a Platinum Medal which put him in the top 1% world-wide. Excellence is our trademark.

100% Made in France
100% of the elements are assembled by craftsmen in our factory based in La Ferté-Saint-Aubin

Our 100ml bottles are then decorated with an elegant ribbon, hand-sealed with wax bearing the initials of our perfumer, like a signature.

Our bottles are then labeled by hand.

Finally, the capping stage.
The perfume cap is made of ZAMAK. We chose this zinc-based material because we preferred the eco-design with a sustainable material that can be recycled again and again.

The last stage is the packaging of the bottle. Inside, the bottle is wedged in recycled foam, which is removable, thus the box can be re-used or recycled.

We chose a box that opens like a book, so you can write your own story with your perfume.
This case shields your bottle from the light, perfume’s greatest enemy, and is made of recyclable cardboard.
The outer plastic case is made of PET which is 100% recyclable.

We encourage our customers to recycle the bottles and boxes, as well as the outer plastic casing, after use.
Since the creation of the house of Nicolaï, we have been conscious of climate issues and are continually on the lookout for innovative, beneficial materials for the producer, consumer and the environment. Our products can evolve in the future if we think that a new material matches the CSR policy of Nicolaï.

The candle fragrance is also created with the greatest care in the creative laboratory of Patricia de Nicolaï.

100% of the candle’s elements (wax, glass, wick) come from the European Union and are assembled by craftsmen in our factory based in La Ferté-Saint-Aubin

In our factory in the Loire Valley, the concentrate is mixed with European, non-GMO soy wax and paraffin which allows a better diffusion of the scent. The mixture is hand-poured by our artisans into a glass manufactured by an Italian glassmaker and the cotton wick comes from the European Union.

Our artisans affix a label on the glass and add the aluminium lid which is recyclable over and over again and helps prevent smoke from spreading throughout your home once the candle is extinguished.

The outer packaging of the candle is made of recyclable cardboard.

You can then light your candle and fully enjoy it.

100% of the candle’s elements (glass, lid, packaging) can be recycled after usage

Once your candle is finished, you may wash the jar and re-use or recycle it. It can serve as a glass, storage jar or small box with a lid.
